Introduction

Other attractions include the temple at Osla which is dedicated to Duryodhana, which was erected by the occupants of Saur. It’s about 14 km from Sankri which lies on the steep mountain trail to Har Ki Doon. It’s a 5000- time conformation of rustic chambers that are carved elegantly.
The challenge of Har KI Doon, besides the long hours of touring for 6 long hours, is fighting with frequent rain. The peak time for this journey isn’t downtime after a snowfall but in summer visited by rain. pacing through green follages trickling with plums of rain is a beautiful experience but pedestrians must be well equipped for it. Rain trekking is essential like a wrap. waterproof covers,anti-diarrhea medicines, and water- resistant touring boots is a must ahead this journey. Best time (season) for Har Ki Dun trek
Har Ki Dun trek is truly a time around journey, piecemeal from the thunderstorm season of July/ August when it isn’t accessible to journey. Every season has a commodity to offer, which is special on its own.
Note As of 2019, the timber department isn’t issuing permits on this trail from December to February. Starting from December 2016, this is enforced considering the corridor of downtime migration for wildlife lapping the trail. At present no permit is given for downtime on the Har Ki Dun journey from December to February.
As said above, this journey is still beautiful enough in all the permitted seasons. However, Spring( March/ April) is ideal, If you’re looking for snow. Amount of snow depends on the actual snowfall during winter though you can be sure to get some amount of residual snow in spring

From May onward during the summer time, the valley turns green, bright and luminous. Blue Pine, Deodar( Himalayan Cedar), Kharsu( Oak), Spruce, Silver Fir and Birch trees are lush and lustrous green. Due to the heat, glaciers melt faster and pour further water to the tributaries on Tons swash. Day time temperatures are warm to pleasant and nights are cooler However, clearly this is the season to choose, If you don’t like the cold atmosphere.
After the monsoon is over by the end of August, the valley remains lush green throughout September. As the fall approaches, sluggishly the lawn turns into pale unheroic. Maple, Chestnut, Walnut and other evanescent tree species take the afterlife splint leafage. The surroundings converted into spectacular unheroic, orange and citation tinges. Not only leafage but an early snowfall chance during late afterlife is another base that you choose this season.
